What is Twitter?
Twitter is an online social networking service and that enables its users to send and read snippets of information up to 140 characters informally known as "tweets".

What are the main features?
Having your own profile page: A business can upload a profile picture, add your company name, location, website and there is a requirement to create your own unique strap line
Tweeting: If you want to let your followers know what you are doing, type it in the 'What's happening' text box and then click on the 'Tweet' button. This is often referred to as a post
Using hashtags: Prefacing a word with a '#' will create a hashtag. A hashtag makes a certain word easily searchable and starts a trend. It allows an individual / business to start up a topic of conversation
Gathering followers: Be sure to keep your posts interesting and relevant as you want the right people following what you are saying. You also shouldnt underestimate the power of following others, either often if you follow someone theyll follow you back
Check the replies from your followers that are directed at you: When tweeting using '@' followed by a username (with no spaces) in your tweet to mention the user you choose (e.g. @mwsbusiness) notifies that person on your comment
